A Pictorial Record of the Construction of National Cycle Route 24 Through Radstock

Week 4

Work on the Radstock-Shoscombe section has been concentrating on buttressing of the banks on the deviation around Paglinch Farm.

Clearance work has been done on the Radstock-Frome section between Radstock to just short of Mells Road Station.

Radstock-Shoscombe

Radstock-Mells Road Station

On the Radstock-Frome railway looking back along the route to Meadow View.

This is near Kilmersdon. In spite of pushing our bikes we still manange to pick up enough bramble cuttings to get ourselves four punctures.

We pushed past the end of current clearance work but the undergrowth became impassable shortly after. We managed to manhandle the bikes off the railway formation onto the track to Batch Farm and thence onto the lane to Mells Road Station.
