A new community project for Midsomer Norton needs your vote:

Pupils from Somervale School, Midsomer Norton, will be hoping to win the support of television viewers in their bid for money from the People’s Millions Big Lottery Fund.

Supported by Bath & North East Somerset Council the school has applied for money to create a local nature reserve for the whole community, and for an "Environmentalist in Residence" who will provide exciting new educational activities to schools across Midsomer Norton.

On Wednesday, November 2 at 6pm ITV West News will be giving people a chance to vote for a local wildlife project and the Somervale School scheme will be featured on the programme.

If the bid is successful, Midsomer Norton would have its own nature reserve for the whole community to enjoy, which would become a haven for wildlife and where local children would be able to carry out exciting projects throughout the year.

So don’t forget to tune in to ITV West News on Wednesday November 2 at 6pm and vote for Somervale School.
