Woodland Management Day
at Camerton Batch
[B&NES]
01/10/04
BATH & North East Somerset Council’s Wildspace coordinators are offering people a chance to spend a day in the big outdoors.
On Wednesday, October 13 a group of volunteers will be carrying out woodland management activities at Camerton Batch Local Nature Reserve.
The day will be led by BTCV (British Trust for Conservation Volunteers) who will provide tools and basic training – no previous experience is necessary.
The Batch is a beautiful, wooded hill – an old coal spoil batch – near Norton Radstock which is owned and managed by Camerton Parish Council. This is an opportunity to have some fresh air, take some gentle exercise, meet people and have a go at woodland management.
Come along for all or part of the day; everyone is welcome – with or without experience.
Bring a packed lunch, suitable weatherproof outdoor clothing and footwear – there are steep and muddy paths in places.
Please meet at the miner at the site entrance at 10.30am.
